Your property will need to be platted or replatted if:
It has never been legally recorded as a subdivision plat;
It is a portion of a lot or reserve that was or will be sold and purchased by metes and bounds;
You want to subdivide your property into two or more parcels;
You want to incorporate property from your neighbor's lot into your lot or vice versa; or
The proposed improvements will straddle lot or reserve lines.
Existing infrastructure and whether or not your property was previously platted will determine the type of plat(s) that you need to submit. The diagram below will help you determine what type of plat to submit. The process flows from left to right. Click on the plat types in the black rectangles for process timeline and applications.
