Bring animals for a visit to Autumn Leaves of Clear Lake, an assisted living memory care community dedicated to serving those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Volunteers meet up at the shelter for 9:15 am to walk the dogs and load up. Volunteers will transport the animals to the facility and back.
Ages 16 and older
Comfortable working around all types and sizes of animals
Have reliable transportation
Be willing to transport animals for visits
Able to work independently with limited supervision
Able to follow verbal and written instructions and effectively communicate with the staff, other volunteers and the public
Professional dog training experience
Volunteers must commit to 2 hours per month every fourth Tuesday of the month for at least 6 months.
