I.                   Call to Order and Roll Call of Members of Historic District Commission

 

II.                Old Business

A.     Elect Chairperson for the 2013-2014 calendar years.

B.     Elect Vice-Chairperson for the 2013-2014 calendar years.

 

III.             Public Hearing

A.  Conduct a public hearing and act on a request for a certificate of appropriateness for the construction of a new single-family residence on a undeveloped lot zoned “RSF-7-RNC” (Single-family residential with a minimum lot size of 7,000 square feet with a Residential Neighborhood Conservation Overlay), legally described as Abst 3 Page 7 SE 200 ft of Block 46 (46-0-2) League City Townsites, generally located at the northwest corner of Coryell and Kansas Avenue with the address 706 Coryell.

 

IV.             Discussion Items

A.     Discuss and provide comment regarding revisions to Chapter 56 and Chapter 125 of the Code of Ordinances and the Preservation Plan.     

 

V.                Commissioner Comments

Announcements concerning items of community interest.  No action will be taken or discussed.

VI.             Staff Comments

I.                   Call to order and Roll call of members

 

Chairman Guglielmo called the meeting to order at 6:01p.m.

II.                Old Business

A.     Elect Chairperson for the 2013-2014 calendar years.

 

Commissioner Dudney moved to nominate Commissioner Guglielmo, Commissioner Picou seconded, motion passed 5-0-0.

 

B.     Elect Vice-Chairperson for the 2013-2014 calendar years.           

     

Commissioner Picou moved to table, seconded by Commissioner Ruhl, motion passes unanimously with a vote of 5-0-0.

 

III.             Public Hearing

Mr. Almgren presented the staff report. 

 

The applicant, Wade Whittle provided additional information as requested by the Commission and asked that the Commission table the item to allow him to work with his architect to incorporate the concerns voiced by the Commission.

 

Commissioner Picou moved to table, seconded by Commissioner Dudney, motion passes unanimously with a vote of 5-0-0.

 

IV.              Discussion Items

A.  Discuss and provide comment regarding revisions to Chapter 56 and Chapter 125 of the Code of Ordinances and the Preservation Plan.   

 

Mr. Dougherty provided an update on the latest draft of the code revisions which incorporated Chapter 56 and the Preservation Plan into Chapter 125 (Zoning Ordinance). 


After the review the Commission decided they wanted to forward this draft onto Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council for their approval.

 

Mr. Morrison explained the public hearing process and stated staff would get that started.  

 

Commissioner Picou moved to recommend approval, seconded by Commissioner Ruhl, motion passed unanimously 5-0-0.
