NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE PRESENCE OF A QUORUM OF THE MEMBERS OF CITY COUNCIL AT ANY TIME DURING THE COURSE OF THE ABOVE-REFERENCED PROCEEDING MAY CONSTITUTE A MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL PURSUANT TO THE TEXAS OPEN MEETINGS ACT, CHAPTER 551 OF THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE.  BY THIS NOTICE, THE PUBLIC IS HEREBY ADVISED OF SAID MEETING NOT LESS THAN 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF THE DATE, TIME AND LOCATION NOTED ABOVE.

Mr. Hendershot called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.

II.                 Approval of Minutes

A.     February 04, 2016

 

Ms. Benoit made a motion to approve the February 04, 2016 minutes.

Mr. Miller seconded the motion.

The motion is passed unanimously with a vote of 3-0-0.

 

III.              Public Hearings and Action Items from Public Hearings (BASC)

Frank LeBlanc, Senior Code Enforcement Officer for the City of League City presented for the City and commented that the Building Official has found that the structure meets all eight of Dangerous Building Criteria, and City staff recommended that the structure by demolished August 08, 2016 and that a sign be placed in the front of the property stating that it is a misdemeanor to occupy this building.

 

The public hearing was opened at 6:06 PM.

 

Steven Suplackey –representing Mr. Hutchinson, the property owner (1202 Ervin Street), agreed that the property should be demolished and stated that he would try to do so in the following three days.

 

The public hearing was closed at 6:07 PM.

 

Ms. Benoit asked if the order included the request to post the sign of no occupancy.

Mr. LeBlanc stated yes.

 

Ms. Benoit made a motion to approve the order as requested by the City.

Mr. Miller seconded the motion.

The motion is passed unanimously with a vote of 3-0-0.

Mr. Hendershot asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting.

 

The motion passed unanimously with a vote of 3-0-0.

 

Mr. Hendershot adjourned the meeting at 6:08 PM.
