A.           Consider and take action on a Master Plan Revision #8 ? Hidden Lakes, generally located south of League City Parkway (SH 96), east of Tuscan Lakes Boulevard, and north of FM 646.

 

B.            Consider and take action on a Preliminary Plat ? Hidden Lakes Section 8, generally located south of League City Parkway (SH 96), north of FM 646, and east of South Shore Boulevard.

 

C.           Consider and take action on a Master Plan Revision #5 ? Westwood, generally located south of West Main Street (FM 518), west of Maple Leaf Drive, and east of the western city limit of League City.

 

D.           Consider and take action on a Preliminary Plat ? Westwood Section 7, generally located south of League City Parkway (SH 96) and east of Maple Leaf Drive.

 

 

IV.              Citizen Communication

 

The privilege of speaking at this time is limited to the following persons: residents, persons having an ownership interest in property or a business within the City, or their attorneys.

 

A statement of no more than 3 minutes may be made. There will be no yielding of time to another person. State law prohibits members of the Planning and Zoning Commission from commenting on any statement or engaging in dialogue without an appropriate agenda item being posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act. Comments should be directed to the entire Planning and Zoning Commission, not individual members of the Planning and Zoning Commission or staff. If addressing a specific agenda item, speakers must keep their remarks specific to the item being considered by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Any speaker making personal attacks or using vulgar or profane language shall forfeit his/her remaining time and shall be seated.

CITY OF LEAGUE CITY

PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION

Monday, December 5, 2016 at 6:00 P.M.

COUNCIL CHAMBERS

I.                    Call to Order and Roll Call of Members

Douglas Turner opened the meeting at 6:00 PM.

II.                 Approval of Minutes

A.     November 7, 2016

 

Mr. Bindhammer made a motion to approve the November 7, 2016 minutes.

Mr. McCullough seconded the motion.

The motion passed unanimously by a vote of 5-0-0.

 

 

 

III.              New Business

A.     Consider and take action on a Master Plan Revision #8 ? Hidden Lakes, generally located south of League City Parkway (SH 96), east of Tuscan Lakes Boulevard, and north of FM 646.

Kayla Davis, Planner for the City of League City, presented for the City, and City staff recommended approval.

 

Mr. Arnold asked what kind of school may be built on the tract in the future.

Ms. Davis replied that she would research that answer.

Matt Stoops, applicant, replied that from his understanding, all residents in the subdivision would attend the education campus, therefore it would likely be an elementary school.

 

Mr. Alderman made a motion to approve the Master Plan Revision #8 ? Hidden Lakes, generally located south of League City Parkway (SH 96), east of Tuscan Lakes Boulevard, and north of FM 646 and the

Mr. Arnold seconded the motion.

The motion passed unanimously by a vote of 5-0-0.

 

B.      Consider and take action on a Preliminary Plat ? Hidden Lakes Section 8, generally located south of League City Parkway (SH 96), north of FM 646, and east of South Shore Boulevard.

Kayla Davis, Planner for the City of League City, presented for the City, and City staff recommended approval. She informed that the preliminary plat met all State and local requirements, and City staff recommended approval.

 

Mr. Arnold made a motion to approve the Preliminary Plat ? Hidden Lakes Section 8, generally located south of League City Parkway (SH 96), north of FM 646, and east of South Shore Boulevard.

Mr. McCullough seconded the motion.

The motion passed unanimously by a vote of 5-0-0.

No citizen comments made.

 

V.                 Staff Comments

Kris Carpenter, Planning Manager for the City of League City, informed that staff would present a revised Planning and Zoning meeting calendar for 2017 at the next Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.

Douglas Turner adjourned the meeting at 6:11 PM.
