City Special Events Calendar

  1. Facing Addiction Town Hall

    September 26, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Civic Center

    The public is invited to attend a "Facing Addiction" town hall followed by an overdose prevention training at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26 at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, 400 W. Walker. The town hall aims to raise awareness and decrease stigmatization towards community members and the families impacted by addiction. The goal is to empower citizens, families, and individuals with education, current information and data, and the tools and skills necessary to effectively and successfully deal with mental health and substance use disorders. The event is free to attend and will include a five-person panel, an overdose prevention discussion, and a Naloxone administration training. A live Q A session will be offered for those with questions.
