Alamo Drafthouse Houston is excited to announce plans for a new location in the Greater Houston metroplex, Alamo Drafthouse League City. Expected to join the Alamo Drafthouse family in late 2020, the theater will be located in the Victory Lakes center on the North East corner of I-45 and FM 646.
“League City is excited about this new family-friendly facility that residents and visitors to the Bay area will be able to enjoy,” said League City Mayor, Pat Hallisey. “Attracting family-friendly facilities like Alamo Drafthouse is crucial to the City’s overall economic development.”
Alamo Drafthouse League City will feature 10 screens, including a 60 foot, premium large-screen “Big Show,” with laser projection and Atmos surround sound. The theater will feature 100% reserved seating in oversized luxury recliners, 4K projection, in-theater food & beverage service, and a standalone lobby bar offering a selection of over 40 local and regional craft beers. Each auditorium will serve made-from-scratch entrees and drinks, with orders taken and delivered to guests’ seats.
The new location will feature a diverse programming slate blending Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters with the best arthouse and independent releases. The theater will also feature family-friendly experiences including family parties and the Alamo Kids Camp series, plus well-known and interactive specialty programming like Champagne Cinema and Movie Parties. And true to form, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema’s ironclad “no-talking, no-texting” policy will be in full effect along with its age policy.
Alamo Drafthouse Houston will be looking to fill new roles ahead of the League City opening. Several management positions will be available, including general manager, kitchen manager, and creative managers who assist in programming, film-specific activations and in-theater events
