League City Speaks

What is League City Speaks?
League City is continuing to grow. Even during these tough economic times new homes are being constructed and new businesses are opening. But is League City headed in the right direction? What should League City be in the next 25 years? What changes will need to be made to get there? In the past, League City has too often reacted to change and, as a result, the community is facing a number of issues including traffic, water and stormwater management.
Becoming proactive means looking to the future, deciding what the community should be and making the tough decisions needed to get there. The legacy of actions taken now will be the League City of 2035. What will that city be known for? What will it look like? In 2004, the City began this process and as part of the Comprehensive Plan effort. Today, we are revising this and other plans, for water, wastewater, infrastructure, in an effort to establish a common, strategic focus toward the future.
In doing so, the City of League City is embarking on a "listening campaign" aptly titled League City Speaks. This is a chance for everyone to speak out about current challenges, golden opportunities, and the steps needed to make League City the extraordinary place to live, work and plat that each resident and business owner within the community deserves.
