Heavy Trash
General Information
Heavy trash service is provided on resident's second trash service day. 

  • Customers with Monday and Thursday service will have a "heavy trash day" on Thursday.
  • Customers with Tuesday and Friday service will have a "heavy trash day" on Friday.


Heavy trash service guidelines: 
  • Set your heavy trash items out by 7 a.m. on your collection day, but no earlier than 6 p.m. the evening before.
  • Place heavy trash items curbside with at least four feet from other objects.
  • Green Waste is collected on the second pick up day. 
  • Bag leaves and wood material. Items will not be picked up if they are not bagged.  
  • Branches and limbs must be bundled and tied in lengths not to exceed 5 feet or 18 inches in diameter.
  • Loose lumber must be less than 5 feet and bundled together
  • Aggregate weight of tree limbs and/or lumber must not exceed 300 lbs.
  • Yard trimmings shall be securely tied together and shall not exceed 5 feet in length or 50 lbs in weight
  • Carpet must be bound and not exceed 5 feet and must not weigh more than 100 lbs.  No more than 5 rolls per pick-up.
  • Shall not include items or materials which cannot be safely lifted and placed upon a truck by two (2) people

Non-serviceable items (by Republic Waste Services)
Republic Waste Services will not pick-up the items listed below:

  • Hazardous Waste (Example: cooking oil, gasoline, oil-based paints, car oil, spray cans, etc.)
  • Petrochemicals
  • Roofing
  • Shingles
  • Hardy Plank
  • Sheet Rock
  • Tile
  • Construction Debris (any waste materials resulting from construction, remodeling, repair, or demolition)
  • Car batteries
  • Tires
  • Propane tanks
  • Concrete
  • Bricks
  • Cabinetry and countertops
  • Plywood
  • Car ports
  • Tar
  • Highly flammable or explosive items
  • Radioactive materials
  • Toxic or Bi-Hazardous Waste


Construction Debris
(any waste materials resulting from construction, remodeling, repair, or demolition)
All construction debris is the responsibility of the resident, and shall be collected in roll-offs and disposed of at a Type IV Landfill.  Residents may elect "roll-off" container service by renting a roll-off container from Republic Services. Please contact Republic Services at (800) 942-9332 for additional questions and details.

Freon Disposal
Customers looking to dispose of refrigerators, air conditioners, or other cooling devices are responsible for properly dealing with Freon disposal before the items are picked up.  The item must be tagged by a Freon removal company before Republic Waste Service picks it up. 

 
Disposal sites for non-serviceable items
Car tire and trailer tire disposal:     Discount Tire and Liberty Tire (disposal fee applies per company)
Car batteries:    Any local automotive store
Car oil and oil filter:    O'Reilly and Auto Zone
Antifreeze, diesel, brake fluid and transmission fluid:   Kwik Car


Hazardous Waste

Household hazardous waste should be disposed of at the Stella Roberts Recycling Center located at 5800 Magnolia, Pearland, TX 77584. The center does collect a fee from non-residents of $1 per pound. Contact (281) 489-2795 for more information.
