    Let's show our appreciation for the men and women who answer 911 calls and serve as the lifeline for police and firefighters this week!

  2. #TogetherWeCan Challenge Begins for Crime Victims' Rights Week

    April 19 - April 25 @ Any Clear Lake Area business or individual that wants to support Crime Victims

    In support of National Crime Victims' Rights Week, the League City Police Department is challenging community members to do one of the following during the week of April 19-25: 1. Donate $5 to one of the agencies listed below. 2. Donate used cell phones to HopeLine from Verizon to help local shelters 3. Wear Blue 4. Take a picture to post on LCPD social media #TogetherWeCan #HopeLine On April 21 form 10 a.m.-2 p.m., LCPD is hosting a Q&A with our crime victim partners: Bay Area Turning Point, Resource and Crisis Center of Galveston CountyChildren's Advocacy Center, UTMB-Forensic Nursing Team, and LCPD Victim Services. You can drop off cell phones and donations at that time and take a picture with the agency of your choice. Your business will be recognized on LCPD Social Media!

  4. LCPD Crime Victims' Rights Week #TogetherWeCan Challenge Drop Off and Q&A

    April 21, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Police Department

    Several victims' resource partners will be in the lobby from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to answer questions and talk about local resources available to crime victims. Participants include the UTMB Forensic Nursing Team, Bay Area Turning Point, Children's Advocacy Center, Galveston County Resource and Crisis Center and LCPD Crime Victim Services. We will also be accepting donations to any one of these partners for the #TogetherWeCan Challenge. The #TogetherWeCanChallenge challenges local businesses to allow employees to wear blue shirts or jeans by donating $5 for the week to one of the listed resources. HopeLine with Verizon will be accepting old cell phones that will be uploaded with 3000 minutes and donated to local shelters.

  5. LCPD Drug Take Back

    Do you have expired or unwanted prescription medications? The League City Police Department is hosting a Drug Take-Back event Saturday, April 25th from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. We will be located in the parking lot between City Hall and the Civic Center at 555 W Walker. It's as simple as driving thru and dropping them off and it's ANONYMOUS. Keep prescription drugs out of the wrong hands and make a difference by disposing of your unwanted or expired medications. All medications gathered will be destroyed off site.
