Gary Ratliff began his career with the League City Police Department in 1985 and currently holds the rank of Assistant Chief of Police since 2006. He graduated from LeTourneau University with a Business Management Bachelor's Degree, and is also a graduate from the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas and the FBI National Academy. Assistant Chief Ratliff’s experience includes Detective, Honor Guard, Field Training Coordinator, Advanced Accident Investigator, SWAT Assistant Commander, SWAT Negotiator, Public Information Officer, and Internal Affairs Investigator. Assistant Chief Ratliff has held the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain and Assistant Chief of Police. He has served as a supervisor in every Division within the Department.
