Chien has been an employee of the City of League City since 1993, and has 14 years of experience in Parks and Recreation. He was the recipient of the Texas Recreation & Park Society’s Recreation Professional of the Year Award in 1999.
He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors Degree in Parks, Recreation & Tourism Sciences in 1992. Chien also earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston Clear Lake in 2002. |

Chien has continued his success by meeting the requirements of the standards set forth by the National Certification Board of the National Recreation and Park Association as a Certified Park and Recreation Professional since 2002.
Chien has been a member of the Texas Recreation & Park Society since 1995 and a member of the National Recreation and Park Association since 1996. |
