FY 2015 funding of $391K is proposed to design a new relocated Station 3, with construction and a new engine planned in FY2016.  To improve the City’s ISO rating, which can affect property insurance rates for homeowners and businesses, a more northern station location is required in the eastern half of the City.  The plan also contemplates that all new stations primarily built for Fire will include living quarters, will serve as police substations and may also house EMS vehicles and personnel.  FY2016-2019 includes funding for design and construction of an expansion to the fire training room on Kansas Ave. next to the burn building and design and construction of a new Station 6.
