Genesis Pipelines Timeline
Below is a timeline of the Genesis Pipeline project. This timeline will be continually updated. Note: Several of the files may be large and will take a few minutes to download.



January 8, 2013 Pipeline Permit #2012-02 is issued to Genesis Pipeline to begin construction.
December 17, 2012 Pipeline permit #2012-02 is signed.
November 1, 2012 The applicant submits application and documentation for a Pipeline Permit.
August 28, 2012 City Council approves the second reading of the Special Use Permit and becomes Ordinance #2012-16.
August 14, 2012 A public hearing was held at the City Council meeting and City Council approved the first reading of the request subject to the 2 conditions. The conditions are:
1. The Contactor must provide at least 24 hours notice to the Oil & Gas Coordinator prior to crossing any 24-inch or 42-inch public water mains in support of Water Production's request to be on-site during the crossings.
2. Bollards shall be placed at the perimeter and outside of the fence of the valve station.
In addition, a variance to the casing requirement was approved by City Council at the same meeting.
August 6, 2012 A public hearing was held at the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on the request. The report and attachments were submitted to the Commission where they recommended approval, subject to an additional condition that bollards be placed around the perimeter of the valve station site. The report, attachments and recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council for their consideration.
June 14, 2012 An application and required documentation from Genesis Pipeline is accepted. The application request is for a Special Use Permit (SUP12-02) to install a pipeline.

Not all information submitted was able to be placed on-line. However, all of the documents may be viewed as a result of a submitted request for Public Information to the City Secretary's office.
