  • Upgrades to pump, motor, and controls is $200,000
  • Control building (climate-controlled) is $75,000
  • Pump/valve security building (metal construction, non-climate controlled) is $100,000
  • Generator is $175,000
  • Miscellaneous items / contingencies is $33,000
  • Engineering is $132,000
  • Total estimated cost $1.6 million

Why It's Needed
These improvements and upgrades are necessary in order to bring the city's water production facilities into compliance with Homeland Security and TCEQ requirements and to build redundancy into the city's system.
