League City 49er’s Junior Football Team

WHEREAS, the League City 49er’s Junior Football Team, through their hard work and dedication, ended their regular season 12-0 and earned a spot to compete in the Bay Area Football League Super Bowl; and

WHEREAS, after a hard-fought game, they prevailed in the end, winning 20-6, finishing their season 13-0, scoring 439 points and only allowed 18 points scored against them; and

after learning of an eight-year-old that dreamed to play football but was unable due to his medical condition, the team decided to make him an honorable member, presented him with a game jersey, and gave him opportunity to score a touchdown during a game; and

for all their athleticism and savvy on the field, it’s their character, respect, brotherhood and maturity off the field that is their greatest attribute

I, Pat Hallisey, by virtue of the authority vested in me as the 10th Mayor of the City of League City do hereby declare December 13, 2016 as

“League City 49er’s Junior Football Team Day”

in the great City of League City.

I hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the City of League City, Texas, to be affixed on this the 13th day of December 2016.

Signed by Mayor Pat Hallisey
