Park Information
The rapid growth of the city has placed a strain on the natural resources as well as the recreational opportunities of the citizens.  This project will provide a passive recreational facility for the citizens as well as habitat for birds, animals, and native plants.

The pond provides a winter home for many migratory birds and water fowl that visit the Gulf Coast during the winter months. Clear Creek also serves as a path for these migratory birds. The park will provide birding opportunities for eco-tourism to our region.

Project area includes 148 acres and will include:
  • 5,200 feet of trails (concrete and fly ash)
  • 10 interpretive signs
  • Eight picnic tables
  • Parking (including one bus parking space)
  • Restrooms
  • Two bird observation stations
