Eastern Regional Park opened to residents on Monday, October 22, 2012.  It was renamed Hometown Heroes Park in October 2013 in honor of local veterans and servicemen and women. The 28-acre park features soccer fields and a new 32,255 square foot recreation facility with multipurpose rooms and two gymnasiums.

Youth soccer, youth basketball, adult basketball, adult volleyball, exercise classes, tournaments, and senior programs will all be held at the new facility. In addition to the scheduled programs, resident will also have the opportunity for open-gym time.

The Parks Recreation office at League Park at 512 2nd St. has been relocated permanently to Hometown Heroes Park.

While Phase I is now complete Phase II is next. Check back for updates on the progress and timeline for Phase II of this wonderful project.
