National Night Out

National Night Out

When Is It?
Tuesday October 6, 2015, 6:30 - 9:30 PM.

What Is It?
NNO 2013 with cpa.jpgNational Night Out (NNO) is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.  It is intended to send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are invested in the unity and quality of their communities.

Groups organize block parties or cookouts and are visited by local emergency services and city dignitaries.  The mayor and city council members team up with League City Police and make their rounds to registered event locations. The Police Department provides each registered event with a goody bag to help them generate attendance to their event.

How Do I Register My Neighborhood Event?
To register your neighborhood event, complete the online submission form.  The form is available here beginning September 1st and closing September 27th:  Registration Form
