The League City Police Department is involved in the community in many ways.
Officers provide safety presentations to seniors, businesses, and youth groups; including personal safety. Officers can be requested for speaking engagements; including PTA events, school carnivals, safety fairs, and homeowners meetings.
Officers are often spotted at community events such as the Village Fair, City Open House, Oak Tree Festival, Holiday in the Park and the Annual Holiday Parade.
Command Area Coordinators also coordinates the Citizens Police Academy, National Night Out, and the Blue Santa Program. Officers also host “Kids N Cops” events in which children are invited to
sporting events such as a baseball game with the Astros or hockey with the Aeros. The officers act as chaperones and role models to children in the community who might not otherwise get to go to such places.
Tours of the police department are offered and can be scheduled for various youth groups.
