recommendations that guide the physical, economic, and social growth of
League City to achieve a better quality of life as established by the
citizens’ vision of the community.
The League City
Planning Department provides general guidance on zoning and land use in League City. The department reviews and provides recommendations on requests for rezoning,
special use permits and variances. The department provides staff support to
the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Zoning Board of Adjustments, and the
Historic District Commission. We also process applications for plats, site
plans, infrastructure plans, and communication towers, which are subject to
review by the Development Review Committee (DRC). The Planning Department is
the initial point of contact for the DRC.

Homeowners and Neighborhood Associations within the City of League City.
