What is Stone Cold Meats?
It’s your local butcher shop, family-owned and operated. We use all natural and locally-sourced products. Our products have no hormones and no antibiotics. We also take pride in the fact that every piece of equipment in our facility is U.S. made.
How did you come about opening your own business?
Sean has 18 years of experience working in the meat industry and I’ve always wanted to own my own business so together we made a perfect team. He began his apprenticeship when he was 16 years old in Illinois. He dedicated 11 years to the same meat market until his love for Texas brought him to this great state. He moved to Corpus Christi in 2012 and worked for two local meat markets until he met me in 2015, which brought him to the Houston area. After three years as a meat market manager for a large corporation, then we decided to establish Stone Cold Meats in 2018.
What originally drew you to League City?
The atmosphere is what drew us to League City. When we were looking for places to open the business, we felt the sense of community and knew this was home for us.
What has the local response been to your business?
The community support in League City has been unbelievable. They have allowed us to grow at an incredible rate. League City has been amazing to us and we cannot thank the customers enough for supporting us daily. They have allowed us to make our dreams come true.
Describe your perfect day in League City?
Our perfect day in League City would be sunshine and beautiful weather.
What is your favorite event that happens in League City?
We always enjoy the annual music festival that comes to League City. Also, we host events here at the butcher shop.
Where is your favorite place to eat in League City?
Which restaurant is still on your list to dine at?
Red Oak Cafe! We heard great things about this restaurant, and cannot wait to try it.
