The City of League City will host its annual Citizen Appreciation Day on Monday, July 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at League Park.
The event is free and open to the entire community as a token of appreciation for all who make League City their home. Festivities include a petting zoo, live entertainment, face-painting, moonwalks, food, snow cones, and cotton candy.
The West Bay Common School Children’s Museum will also host their annual Teddy Bear Parade on Monday, at 10:30 a.m. The parade will start at 210 N. Kansas and march down 2nd St. prior to Citizen Appreciation Day.
Additionally, City offices, Hometown Heroes Park building and pool will close on Monday in observance of Independence Day.
Parks, public safety and emergency services will have normal operations throughout the holiday. Residential and commercial trash routes will also run at their regularly scheduled times.
Walker Pool is open on Monday from 1 to 6 p.m. Helen Hall Library will close on Sunday, July 3, and re-open on Tuesday, July 5.
