The League City Animal Shelter has launched ‘Home for the Holidays’ adoption month – a campaign aimed at providing all the animals in the shelter a home for the holidays.
Adoption fees throughout the month of December have been reduced to $20. The fee includes the pet adoption, a Blue Buffalo coupon booklet, goodie bag, spaying, neutering, microchipping, and more.
“Our goal is for animals to be adopted and Christmas is a great time to do that,” said President of Friends of League City Animal Shelter, Monica Millican. “We’re offering a 73 percent price reduction for adoptions this month to give everyone a chance at giving a loving pet a forever home.”
Santa and his elves are also teaming up with the animal shelter to offer a special delivery service for families on Christmas morning. The special delivery service is available for any animal adopted from the shelter between Dec. 11 and 23.
The shelter is also seeking pet fosters for the week of Christmas.
“The holidays are about being surrounded by loved ones,” said LCAS Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator, Jasmine O’Keefe. “Adding a new member to your family, through pet adoption or fostering, is a great way to spread the holiday cheer.”
The shelter is located at 821 N. Kansas Ave. and open for adoption between, Tuesday and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and, Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
