[ARCHIVED] City Monitoring Tropical Depression #22

td 22

League City’s Emergency Management Office, in collaboration with the Houston-Galveston branch of the National Weather Service, is closely monitoring Tropical Depression #22. The Tropical Depression has the potential for heavy rain and coastal flooding in our area. According to the National Weather Service, it is still too early to determine the impacts of this tropical depression, but as of now, coastal flooding could be expected starting Saturday night and heavy rains could impact our area through next week. With localized street flooding as a possibility, City Public Works crews will be working throughout the weekend to clear ditches and drains ahead of the storm. The City will continue to provide updates to residents as the storm develops through social media and the City’s website once more information is available.

Residents are encouraged to monitor the National Weather Service website for the latest and up-to-date information: https://www.weather.gov/hgx/
