[ARCHIVED] City Monitoring Tropical Storm Beta

League City’s Emergency Management Office, in collaboration with the Houston-Galveston branch of the National Weather Service, is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Beta. The storm has already brought heavy rain and coastal flooding into our area.

City Public Works crews have been working throughout the storm to clear ditches and drains. Traffic crews are redirecting traffic and closing roads as needed. As a precaution, pumps have been set up in neighborhoods across the City.

Residents who live in low-lying areas should take the necessary precautions to remain safe and dry. This includes staying off the roads and being aware of standing water before making their morning commute.

The City will continue to provide updates to residents as the storm develops through social media and the City’s website once more information is available. Click here to view the latest updates on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/leaguecitytexas/

Residents are encouraged to monitor the National Weather Service website for the latest and up-to-date information:
