[ARCHIVED] Recycling Dos and Dont's

2019-07-23-recycle-right

Recycling is a great way to do your part to help the environment. It reduces the amount of waste that goes to our landfills and helps conserve some of our natural resources, however, it is very important that recycling is done correctly in order for our community and environment to benefit. When the wrong materials get mixed in with the right ones, other recyclables that were sorted correctly are contaminated. Here are some things to remember to ensure that you are recycling correctly:

  • When recycling, please ensure that all items are clean, dry, and empty to avoid contamination
  • Place items directly in your 48-gallon closed top cart
