LCPD Hosting FREE Virtual Class for Parents

cyber safety

Based on feedback and numerous requests from parents, the League City Police Department will be hosting a virtual version of their Cyber Safe Parenting 101 class on May 27

LCPD Officer Brittnee Garner, who is a member of the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, recently hosted an in-person class that was very well received by parents.

If you missed the in-person class, you can register for the FREE virtual class, which will be held on Thursday, May 27 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. During the class, Officer Garner will share the most common apps, games, and social media platforms kids are using; how predators can use these platforms to lure children and teens; signs that your child may be a victim, and how to track and monitor your child’s cyber activity. Those who register will also receive a recording of the class.
