[ARCHIVED] LCPD Traffic Enforcement

Traffic Enforcement with Police car in background

The League City Police Department traffic division is currently working strict traffic enforcement in many areas around League City, Texas. These areas have been identified through traffic surveys as having a higher than average number of traffic violations. To address this concern, more frequent enforcement will occur as call-load and staffing permit. We understand that traffic is consistently an issue and are working to keep our city a safe place to drive. Assistant Chief Woitena stated that “the increased traffic enforcement in these areas is meant to enhance overall motorist safety by gaining compliance with State traffic laws.”

Here is where we will be focusing extra enforcement, primarily on speeding and stop sign violations:

1. West League City Pkwy between 45 & Bay Area Blvd

2. South Shore Blvd between 646 & 96

3. Bay Area Blvd between 518 & 96

4. Lawrence Rd between 518 & 96

5. East Main St between Hwy 3 & Egret Bay Blvd

6. Village Way & Bishops Bridge

7. Hobbs Rd South of 96
