LCPD Teen Academy

League City Police Department Teen Police Academy

High school students are invited to join the men and women of the League City Police Department to explore a career in law enforcement. Students will experience a “behind the badge” view of core police functions and what it takes to become a police officer. The Teen Academy consists of a series of classes and hands-on activities designed to give the cadets a working knowledge of our police department.

The Teen Academy is open to teens 14 to 18 years of age who reside or attend a League City public or private school. This includes students of all public, private and homeschool students in League City. The academy is free of charge and space is limited. The event will be held Monday, July 19th to Friday, July 23rd from 8 AM to 4 PM.

Cadets will learn about:

  • Patrol Procedures
  • Crime Scene Investigation
  • Criminal Law
  • Firearms Safety
  • Traffic Stops
  • Positive Team Building Activities and More
