    Everyone is invited to join Local History Librarian Caris Brown to have fun with the brand-new Smithsonian Open Acess website where absolutely anyone is now allowed to download, share, and reuse the images of nearly 3 million 2D and 3D digital items from their collections. Objects from the site will be used to tell fascinating stories from American History. Come hear about the first airplane, the creation of the first telegraph, Abraham Lincoln’s invention, haircare in the 1920’s, how Owney the dog became the stuffed mascot of the Post Office Department, and more!
