Gary Ratliff began his career with the League City Police Department in 1985 and currently holds the rank of Chief of Police since January 2018. He graduated from LeTourneau University with a Business Management Bachelor's Degree and is also a graduate from the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas and the FBI National Academy. Chief Ratliff’s experience, includes Detective, Honor Guard, Field Training Coordinator, Advanced Accident Investigator, SWAT Assistant Commander, SWAT Negotiator, Public Information Officer, and Internal Affairs Investigator. Chief Ratliff has held the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain and Assistant Chief of Police. He has served as a supervisor in every Division within the Department.
